Monday Munchies: Balsamic Pork Chops ‘Camping Recipe’

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be selecting some great camping recipes for you guys. These can work for camping trips or just having some fun in the backyard. – Tony


  • 2 ts Olive oil
  • 4 Pork chops; 1 inch thick
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 c Minced shallots
  • 1/2 c Chicken broth
  • 1/4 c Balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 ts Thyme
  • 1 tb Butter or margarine


1. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat, 2 minutes. Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper. Add to skillet and cook 5 minutes per side. Transfer to platter and keep warm.

2. Add shallots to pan; cook, stirring, 1 minute. Add broth, vinegar and thyme; cook, stirring, over high heat 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in butter. Pour over chops.

Serves: 4 Servings

Want tender juicy pork? Cook to 145 degrees F with 3 min rest time.
