If you caught my last post about my cross-country trip, then you know the awesome Carlsbad Caverns experience I came into by chance, in New Mexico. Let me tell you, there’s still some great things to come from this second leg of my trip.
The next location for awesomeness took place at The Painted Desert and Petrified Forest, in Arizona. It’s a National Park where you pay a small fee to drive into and tour the landscape with areas for you to walk or hike out to. Coming from the east, this is an environment I had not fully been exposed to until now. Sure, you see pictures and paintings, but over the years that’s what it becomes. It only becomes real and truly appreciated when you can see how vast and massive these natural phenomenon are in person.
Again, similar to the Carlsbad Caverns I keep referring to, this is an experience that is better expressed in pictures than in words.
