It seems as though everyone we’ve talked to has already enjoyed the “Double Rainbow Freakout” video, now gone beyond viral on YouTube.  We just noticed, however,  that several people have been searching for it here on The Trailblazer Hub (maybe because we Tweeted about it last week, like millions of others?), so we figured why not share the love.

If you’ve already seen it, you know you can’t help but watch it again.  If you haven’t, you really must hit play, sit back, and enjoy:

In a fresh sequel, The Gregory Brothers have Auto-Tuned the video to create a new song, now available on ITunes:

Who is Double Rainbow Man? His real name is Paul Vasquez, a 47 year old living in Yosemite, CA.  Having most recently struggled to live on $5000/year, he is the most recent example of viral video completely changing someone’s life. He’s now been interviewed on almost every major TV & Radio station, and has gone so far as to hire an agent to help him manage & grow his new found internet fame.

If you thought the original video, or even the Gregory Brothers remix was funny, we might be able to top it.  Here’s a snippet of the July 8 interview conducted by CBS news:

While this guy has clearly never seen anything like it, the double rainbow is actually not a rare phenomenon.  According to AccuWeather.com,  “While a primary rainbow is visible when light is reflected once off the back of a raindrop, a secondary and usually dimmer rainbow is spotted when light is reflected twice in a more complicated pattern.”

Unique or not, should you ever get to see one yourself…we dare you to show the same open exhilaration as this guy. You may not get viral video fame the way Mr. Vasquez did, but we’d sure be excited to share it here on The Hub!
