It’s the simple pleasures in life, they say. For me, it’s waiting for Caseus to post a picture of their daily specials on their social media pages. I almost always am compelled to “like” whatever it is they have that day, ranging from duck sandwiches to fresh quinoa salads; everything they made incorporates high quality seasonal cheeses that are sold in their cheese shop downstairs. And cheese, of every kind, is by far my favorite thing to eat. Their specials are always completely unique, but that’s not to say that their standard menu is anything less than amazing as well. Their grilled cheese is definitely something to brag about, and I’m impressed with anyone who can finish the entire portion. The same can be said about their mac and cheese, which is made from over 5 different delicious cheeses. Both of these have options to add other things, such as bacon or jalapenos as well, and come with their house salad. Caseus also offers a number of great events such as movie nights, and cheese pairing classes that are incredibly informative on how to pair specific kinds of cheese with either beer, wine, or meat, depending on what the class you take. The most interesting class I attended incorporated poetry, and whatever cheese, wine and beer they felt best matched each story! My favorite was their earthy blue cheese paired with a locally brewed stout beer. Definitely an entertaining and unique night out!
