Just as the name suggests, Home is a comfortable and delicious place to stop for a brew and a bite. Although there’s a complete dining area in the rear of the restaurant, the casual atmosphere filled with couches and large cushioned chairs throughout the front bar area is what reeled me in one early afternoon. My friend and I were feeling particularly hungry on this particular afternoon so I indulged in their Patty Melt, pressed inside fresh marble rye toast with fried red onions, and oozes their homemade cheese sauce and smoked tomato aioli and is paired with their house salad (or fries). This was, of course, after sharing their bowl of hand cut fries served. The key is to order the fries as an appetizer, since they are served with three different homemade dipping sauces, which are ever changing. The whole meal was delicious, but if you don’t have quite as much time, you can just stick to an appetizer like the bowl of fries or a cheese board paired with a local brew. Since the establishment clearly knows the value of home, they use a great deal of locally bought edibles, beer and wine. Additionally, since the allergy is becoming more common, they have a gluten free menu to accommodate.
