Post image for The North Face Speaker Series With Mark Synnott Event PICS

We had a blast last week with Mark Synnott at Prime Climb for another rendition of The North Face Speaker Series!

Mark gave an inspiring and humorous account of his life and featured some tales from some of his favorite expeditions, as well as his heart felt losses along the way.

Special thanks  to everyone who came, including, The North Face, Outside Magazine, Gore-tex, PrimaLoft and Ragged Mountain Foundation, for making it happen!

Take a look at some highlights from the pics below.

View from the back end of the room while Mark starts his presentation.

Branford store manager, Geoff Rowley, introducing Mark pre-show.

Judith, Todd, and Peter, chillin' pre-show.

Dave and Karyn giggling together and sharing loving glances.

Mark showed us the need for him to climb started at a very young age.

A young scruffy Mark Synnott.

Chris, Derek, and Laura, exchanging homework before homeroom.

Caitlyn, Laura, Geoff, and Judith.

Brandon couldn't help himself and was a great guy to have worked with on this event.

Our VIP after party helped to support The Ragged Mountain Foundation.

Who me? Yes, Geoff, you...

Winter Mountain Biking in Westwoods

by Katie March 21, 2012 Hike

…is not much different than spring. Although we didn’t get much snow this winter, I can’t say that 60 degree and sunny days in March really bother me. This weekend brought gorgeous weather to the Connecticut shoreline. After a long Saturday of smoking ribs and celebrating St. Paddy’s Day, Sunday called for some much needed [...]

Thumbnail image for Why SUPERFEET? We Explain

I’ve been a supporter of SUPERFEET for years, but I get questions all the time, as to why. Below, I’m placing two separate stylized explanations. 1. A wordless visual presentation that shows you specifics. 2. An in depth account as to why, where, when, backed up with more facts than you knew existed about the [...]

I’m not sure about you, but Irene took control of my neighborhood this weekend and didn’t let up. Here are just a few shots from a one block radius from my house in the Westville section of New Haven. And no, I still do not have power. – Tony

New Haven’s West Rock State Park Spring Review

by TonyDasilva August 16, 2011 Hike
Thumbnail image for New Haven’s West Rock State Park Spring Review

This past weekend, I took the plunge back into the outdoors and marched straight into West Rock Park, in New Haven, after hibernating for what was one of the toughest winters I remember ever enduring. A long hike from bottom to top on Saturday, followed by a mountain bike ride loop on Sunday, held muddy [...]

Mike Franzman has been a pretty steady inclusion here at The Hub the past few weeks. I’ve donned him with the hefty title of Animal Whisperer of Connecticut; and for good reason.
