Today’s New Music Monday feature is a band that has, undoubtedly, already become a local favorite for those of you local to the Connecticut music scene: The McLovins.

This incredible trio of…dare I say-”prodigies”…is young (16 & 17 years old), but pumps out jams that are on par with some of the biggest names in music today.  As Rolling Stone put it, “… the McLovins — a trio of Connecticut kids who have managed to harness the musical ferocity of Trey Anastasio, Les Claypool, and Stewart Copeland before being able to legally drive a car.”

These guys are truly “how the next generation jams”.  They have only been playing gigs for a couple of years now, but you’d never guess it…here’s an interview from “early in their careers” (May 2009)…
