Post image for Map Uncharted Territory with New iPhone App–GPS Tuner

Do you take your iPhone everywhere?  If not, you just might start–thanks to the brand-new iPhone app, GPS Tuner.

The GPS Tuner is an iPhone-specific app that serves as interactive map for adventurous spirits. It automatically and accurately plans the best off-route path in almost any given area. By going where no map has gone before, it charts territory for users to navigate beyond where the “traditional” road ends, enabling them to plan trips outside of normal charted routes. Once users choose a path, they can follow along with it on their iPhone, which will notify them if they veer off in the wrong direction. Users can also manually plan their own chosen route, regardless of how far off the beaten path that may be.

And, if you happen to get lost while out and about, the GPS Tuner can also be used as a safety device–users can send crisis messages, request assistance and share their position with emergency response services or friends and family members.

The GPS Tuner iPhone app is available today in the continental U.S. and can be purchased for just $4.99 on iTunes.
