Stone Age Rock Gym

Recently some employees at our Mohegan Sun location took a group outing to the Stone Age Rock Gym in Manchester. Stone Age is an indoor climbing gym that also offers outdoor guide service and climbing school. The indoor location has a 4500 sq. ft of textured vertical climbing terrain. For outdoor trips Stone Age leads climbs in Connecticut Wolf Rock (Mansfield Hollow), Rattlesnake Mountain(Farmington), Pinnacle Rock (Planville), and Ragged Mountain(Southington). In New Hampshire they have fully outfitted trips to Cathedral and White Horse (North Conway) and also Clifton Crags in Clifton, Maine.

Here is what Kathy from our Mohegan Sun store had to say about her experience:

“I had a blast climbing around the walls of The Stone Age Rock Gym last weekend with some of my Mohegan Sun co-workers. We were there for a 2 hour lesson with two instructors. Kevin and Jen were very skilled and really encouraging. Mike Jones was the hero of the day by making it to the top of the 32ft 20degree wall. I highly recommend that you give indoor rock climbing a try. So much fun!”
